Georgia Tech to Study Use of Drones for Monitoring Highway Traffic

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. Researchers at Georgia Tech are studying the potential for more peaceful uses of unmanned aerial vehicles. That includes the potential use of drones to monitor I-285 and other congested highways for backups or help with accident investigations to clear roads faster.
