There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. On Tuesday, January 31st at noon the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy (CISTP) will host a talk by Chip White and Alan Erera (GT-ISye) on "Reducing the Vulnerability of a Supply Chain to an Intentional Attack."

Abstract

We present an approach for quantifying the vulnerability of a supply chain to an intentional attack, assuming that the attack weapon is a biological or chemical agent and that both the attacker and defender are intelligent and adaptive. We further assume that the attacker intends to use the supply chain as a weapons delivery platform, rather than destroy or disable the supply chain. We then discuss application of this approach to a liquid egg supply chain under possible attack by botulinum toxin.
