The Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad. Must currently be receiving Pell Grant to be eligible.

The Gilman Scholarship Program seeks to diversify the kinds of students who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go. Specifically, the Gilman Program offers scholarships for students and locations that have been traditionally underrepresented in education abroad.  Undergraduate U.S. citizens are eligible and must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application or during their time abroad.

The online application for Summer and Fall 2012 will open in late January.  The campus deadline is February 16.  This is the date by which students should send the Campus Representative a rough draft of their essays for review.  Students do not have to officially submit applications until the March 1st national deadline.

Georgia Tech Application deadline: February 16, 2012
