Organic Materials with Novel Optical and Electronic Properties

"Synthesis, Properties and Applications of Dicyanomethylenedihydrofuran (DCDHF) Single Molecule Fluorophores"

Aspects of research on the single molecule fluorophore class of DCDHF dyes will be discussed. The presentation will cover the history and design of the fluorophores, synthetic methodology for their preparation,structure-function photophysical relationships, single molecule evaluation and some examples of applications in biological systems.

Joe Perry from the School of Chemistry & Biochemistry will be hosting the seminar. We look forward to seeing you at the Seminar!
