Georgia Tech Sigma Xi Monie A. Ferst Award Symposium in honor of the 2008 winner, Prof. John D. Corbett, Iowa State University.

Professor Corbett has explored new vistas of inorganic compounds that has greatly impacted and broadened our understanding of chemical bonding in complex inorganic solids. His scientific career shows many major areas of accomplishment that originated with imaginative synthetic principles or procedures and often revealed unprecedented or inconceivable species, many of which have been included in chemistry books.

Presentations are by former students and postdocs of Dr. Corbett.
