There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Subcellular Analytical Strategies
School Colloquia
Chemical cytometry opened up exciting opportunities for monitoring multiple chemical species in single cells and understand cellular heterogeneity. At the same time, it unveiled the need for novel technologies to analyze organelles within the cell. Such techniques would greatly advance our understanding on the roles of sucellular heterogeneity and organization in health, disease and aging. This presentation describes our current work aiming at developing and applying bioanalytical technologies to analyze and purify organelles. In particular, we will focus on the analysis of individual organelles, approaches to purify organelles, highly sensitive and selective measurements of subcellular properties, and the need to simplify tissue complexity.
