There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The FIB2Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology cordially invites you to its Official Opening Workshop on Friday, November 11th, 2005 at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology, 500 10th Street, Atlanta, GA 30318.

A short introduction will be followed by presentations on recent research facilitated by Focused Ion Beam technology elucidating the versatile capabilities of these dual-beam instruments. Lucille Gianuzzi, FEI, will discuss the latest FIB technologies focusing on biological applications of this tool. Concluding, there will be an open door presentation of the dual-beam SEM / FIB instruments FEI Nova Nanolab 200 and FEI Quanta 3D. Please find the detailed program attached. There are no fees for workshop participants; however, we do ask that you register via phone (404-385-7101) or email (brucherseifer@chemistry.gatech.edu) for a head count. This workshop is open to all levels of participants. We particularly encourage students and Post Docs to attend.
