Two of the four scholarships were given to Chemistry & Biochemistry students, graduate student Shannon Watt and undergraduate student Tatiana Sonnenberg. The other two awardees are Angela Gill Bailey and Sonya Parpart from BME.

Founded in 1981, the Georgia Tech Women's Forum (GTWF) is an organization comprised of employees from all facets of the Georgia Tech community and remains firm in our mission to provide opportunities for women at Georgia Tech. This is accomplished via networking, sharing, learning and leadership. Program speakers at our monthly meetings provide a variety of perspectives on issues of interest to today's professional women. GTWF also holds a professional responsibility to encourage and support women in their academic endeavors at Georgia Tech. The GTWF Scholarship Fund awards scholarships of $1000 annually to female students based on academic achievement, leadership, and financial need.
