The Georgia Tech Women in Chemistry Committee has been awarded the Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Sciences.

This is a tremendous recognition of the efforts of a large number of individuals in the School (and beyond). Excerpts from the award notification to Ashley Ringer (the 2006 committee chair) are below.

The Committee on Minority Affairs is honored to select The Georgia Tech Women in Chemistry Committee as the 2006 Southeastern Regional Meeting recipient of the Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Sciences. This award will be presented at the American Chemical Society (ACS) 58th Southeastern Regional Meeting (SERMACS) scheduled to be held November 1-4, 2006 in Augusta, GA.

Congratulations to The Georgia Tech Women in Chemistry Committee on being the recipient for the Stanley C. Israel Regional Award that will be presented at the Awards Luncheon on Thursday, November 2nd.
