Ms. Julie Camba, chemistry and biochemistry undergraduate alum, is spending her summer by providing medical care to the citizens of Ayacucho, Conchopata District, Peru.
As a volunteer in Conchopata Health Clinic, Julie works closely with trained health professionals to provide important medical care including weighing and measuring babies, taking patient vitals, documenting patient histories and accompanying health professionals on house visits. As an example of her volunteering duties, Julie recently participated in yellow fever vaccinations to an entire school in the district. Pictured here are some of her students that received vaccinations. Julie graduated in Fall 2006 with her BS in Chemistry and plans to attend medical school in the coming months. Great work, Julie!
