Prof. Mostafa El-Sayed was pleased to learn that one of his research papers has again entered the list of the top ten most cited papers in chemistry. The paper is entitled "Cancer Cell Imaging and Photothermal Therapy", published in the Journal of American Chemical Society (JACS) 2006, vol. 128, p. 2115.
As of January 8, 2008, the paper reached position #1 in the list. John Emsley writes a regular column for the newsletter Science Watch published by the Institute for Scientific Information (Philadelphia) and he is planning to cover Prof. El-Sayed's work in the next issue. This newsletter is aimed at science policy makers, government agencies, funding bodies, etc. as well as scientists in general.
What an honor! Congratulations, Mostafa!
