Dr. Jean-Luc Brédas from the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry has earned the distinction of Fellow of the Material Research Society for 2008.
The inaugural class of Fellows will be recognized at the 2008 MRS Spring Meeting in San Francisco, and also announced on the MRS website and in the MRS Bulletin.
The title of MRS Fellow honors MRS members who are notable for their distinguished research accomplishments and their outstanding contributions to the advancement of materials research, world-wide. The maximum number of new Fellow appointments each year is limited to 0.2% of the current MRS membership. The distinction is thus highly selective. We are fortunate to have received a large number of excellent nominations, which made the work of the selection committee extraordinarily demanding, but also reflects very positively on MRS and the Fellow program.
Congratulations, Jean-Luc on a well deserved honor!
