There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Anthony Giordano (graduate student in the Marder research group) has been awarded the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Fellowship and the NDSEG graduate fellowship.
In addition, the following students received Honorable Mentions from NSF:

Emily Malcolm (graduate student in the Kroger research group)
Ed Hohenstein (graduate student in the Sherrill research group)
Glen Harris (graduate student in the Fernandez research group)
Yue Liang (undergraduate student conducting research with Professors Tolbert and Bommarius)
Ashley Ringer (graduate student in the Sherrill research group) is the recipient of the Anna Louise Hoffman Award for Outstanding Achievement in Graduate Research for 2008. Given by Iota Sigma Pi, the award recognizes the top female graduate student in chemistry for the given year. Ashley is a previous awardee of the NSF Graduate Fellowship.
Nicole Fay was awarded the CoS Undergraduate Research Award, in part for the work she completed (and published) with Professor Payne.
