There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Prof. Thomas Orlando was presented the first award to a faculty member in the College of Sciences who "encourages diversity for faculty".
This is the first year for this award. The award was initiated by Wing Li, ADVANCE Professor for the College of Sciences, and sponsored, in part, by Dean Paul Houston. Thom was awarded a plaque and the School is awarded some funding to be used by the present Chair.
Prof. Thom Orlando was Chair of the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry from 2003 - 2008 and is currently the Associate Dean of Energy Research in the College of Sciences.
