There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Dr. Chiaolong Hsiao was selected as one of the winners of the Sigma Xi Best Ph.D. Thesis Award. Dr. Hsiao is a recent PhD graduate under the direction of Dr. Loren Williams. A plaque with a cash award and certificate was presented to Chiaolong at the annual Sigma Xi Awards in April.
Chiaolong is also the first graduate of the PhD program in Bioinformation from the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
