No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Dr. Carrie Shepler, Academic Professional in the School of Chemistry & Biochemistry, has received Georgia Tech's undergraduate advisor award.
Dr. Carrie Shepler has been awarded the 2010 Outstanding Faculty Undergraduate Academic Advisor Award. Her students and colleagues provided much support for her nomination. She came to Georgia Tech in 2008. Her responsibilities as an Academic Professional are in the development and management of the advisement program for undergraduates, individual student advisement, mentorship of the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society, undergraduate seminar course instruction and coordination, advisement of student organizations, and instruction and support for the general chemistry program. In the future, Carrie hopes to be involved in the development of a more extensive undergraduate research program, alumni relations, and chemical education research and development with the general chemistry program. The award will be presented at the Annual Faculty/Staff Honors Luncheon on Thursday, April 15, 2010.
