Graduate student Ashley Tucker (Hernandez Group) was awarded a Best Poster Award at the Physical Division Poster Symposium on Wednesday evening at the ACS Spring 2010 National Meeting.

Only 7 of approximately 360 posters presented were selected for this award. Ashley's paper titled "Liquid crystal phases under the presence of a rotating external field" was selected for presentation at Sci-Mix.

In addition to her poster, Ashley presented talks on "Using molecular dynamics to understand liquid crystal phases under the presence of a rotating external field" (COMP paper 362) and "Surprising long-time correlation of a rod-like particle diffusing through a random media" (PHYS paper 23.)
