There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Congratulations to PhD alum, Prashant Jain, who will begin an Assistant Professor position at University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign in August of 2011.
Prashant earned his PhD from Georgia Tech in 2007 working under the supervision of Professor Mostafa El-Sayed, followed by post-doctoral work at Harvard.
His research program will focus on understanding the interaction of light and matter at the nanoscale level. Additional information regarding Prashant and his future work can be found at http://www.nanogold.org.
