There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The International Community School (ICS) seeks Tech students to volunteer on a weekly basis at its Decatur campus for the spring semester.
This tutoring program helps young students with their reading skills and homework after school. It is a great chance to mentor a child and meet other Tech students. ICS gives the children of over 2,500 refugees in DeKalb county a unique opportunity to smoothly transition into the American culture and educational system.
Volunteers will need to be available on a weekly consistent basis and be willing to commit to attend each tutoring session for the spring semester (approximately 14 weeks).
