There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Award ceremony honoring Georgia winners, runners-up, and those receiving special recognition.
The ceremony will be held at the Historic Academy of Medicine at Georgia Tech and will be preceded by a reception. This event will be attended by award recipients and invited guests
A day-long workshop, including student panels and talks by corporate representatives and Georgia Tech faculty members, will be held at the Academy for the winners and runners-up .
The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Awardees are selected for their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education. The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing offers both a national and local "affiliate" competitions to generate support and visibility for women's participation in communities nationwide.
