Georgia NCWIT Awards for Aspirations in Computing

Summary Sentence: NCWIT Aspiration Awards Reception and Ceremony

Full Summary: Reception and Ceremony honoring young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests.

Award ceremony honoring Georgia winners, runners-up, and those receiving special recognition.

The ceremony will be held at the Historic Academy of Medicine at Georgia Tech and will be preceded by a reception.  This event will be attended by award recipients and invited guests

A day-long workshop, including student panels and talks by corporate representatives and Georgia Tech faculty members, will be held at the Academy for the winners and runners-up .  

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Awardees are selected for their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education. The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing offers both a national and local "affiliate" competitions to generate support and visibility for women's participation in communities nationwide.
