Presenter:
Rick Perera, Communications Officer with CARE. Rick has served in various communications roles for CARE since 2002, including as media officer and emergency press officer handling media relations at disaster sites. He recently returned from a three-month assignment directing media and communications for the Horn of Africa food crisis, and has also completed emergency assignments in Haiti, Pakistan, Nicaragua and other countries. Prior to joining CARE, he worked as a print and broadcast journalist, beginning his career at CNN.
