There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. “The survey results provide empirical data to support previously anecdotal concerns that delays and impediments to acquiring certain human embryonic stem cell lines may be hindering stem cell science in the United States,” said Aaron Levine, Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy. This statement reveals the finding [from Levine's study] that some scientists are struggling with the logistics of obtaining cell lines, from a survey of more than 200 US human embryonic stem cell (hESC) researchers published in the December issue of the journal Nature Biotechnology.
