DramaTech Artistic Director, Melissa Foulger, received a Suzi Award November 8 for her production of See What I Wanna See at Actor's Express in Atlanta.
An off-Broadway hit musical, the production was comprised of three one-act musicals inspired by the short stories of famed Japanese author Ryunosuke Akutagawa. Foulger's production received the award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Musical. An associate artist at Actor's Express (AE), Foulger has previously directed AE productions of Suddenly Last Summer, and Good Boys, and True.
Foulger has been Artistic Director of the student-run DramaTech for three years. Established in 2003, the Suzi Bass Awards are the Atlanta live theater equivalent of the New York Tony Awards.
