Silk delivers drugs without the pain

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. US researchers have developed a new microneedle drug delivery system using silk. The team says that its multifunctional properties could offer a safe and pain-free way to administer drugs and vaccines, as well as store drugs without the need for refrigeration.
