Emory Morsberger, CEO of the Morsberger Group, will speak about the redevelopment of City Hall East into Ponce Park and the creation of the Medici Center.
The redevelopment of City Hall East into Ponce Park will transform Georgia's largest building (2 million sf) and its environs into a 1,600-unit context-sensitive, mixed-use residential community that will literally reweave the area's urban fabric. Ponce Park's adaptive reuse of the historic Sears and Roebuck Southern Distribution Center (built in 1926) along with considerable new construction will serve as a catalyst for the continuing revitalization of the Ponce/North Avenue corridor.
Housed within the Ponce Park development, the Medici Center is suited to become the nation's first international residential community of scholars, researchers, and artists. Through structured programs and events paired with spontaneous interaction, residents of the Medici Center will experience a lifestyle of intellectual stimulation, enhanced health, and lifelong learning.
