Promoting bicycle use through access, infrastructure, and education.

Georgia Institute of Technology: Gretchen Tanner Goldman, Chair of the Bicycle Infrastructure Improvement Committee at Georgia Tech.

Emory University: Jamie Smith, organizer of Bike Emory. Emory University was recently designated a "Bicycle Friendly University".

Georgia State University: presenter to be determined.

Topic:
Georgia Tech, Emory, and GSU are each pursuing their own strategies to promote bicycling on campus, from sharing or selling bike to adding bicycle parking, lanes, and sharrows. These initiatives have the potential to increase physical activity, improve safety, and reduce air pollution and stress. The presenters will discuss the potential health effects of their work and share strategies, outcomes, and lessons learned.
