There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Dr. Catherine L. Ross, Harry West Professor of Quality Growth and Regional Development and director of the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development (CQGRD) at Georgia Tech, recently participated in a panel discussion on equitable development of the Atlanta BeltLine as part of Hands On Atlanta's Martin Luther King Jr. Service Summit. "Equitable Development - The BeltLine: Can it connect Atlanta's people, places and opportunities?" will be aired Thursday, February 14th at 10 AM on People TV (Channel 24 in the City of Atlanta).
The panel examined the BeltLine's role in providing access to good jobs, quality education, affordable housing, a clean environment and a healthy quality of life. Also participating in the panel was Dr. Dan Immergluck, Associate Professor in the City and Regional Planning Program at Georgia Tech.
