There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Megaregions: Planning for Global Competitiveness, edited by Dr. Catherine L. Ross, was reviewed by Aaron Renn, an urban success strategist focusing on the overlooked cities of the Midwest. Renn applauds the concept of megaregions as a "convenient abstraction for federal level thinkers to make sense out of the large number of diverse metro areas in America" while noting that "megaregions are necessary purely as a level of hierarchy, even if they prove to be a phantom level."
