The mayors of Atlanta, Charlotte, Greenville, and others continued talks about cooperating on major planning issues such as water supply, transportation and energy. While the Piedmont Atlantic Megaregion is composed of 6 states, the participants of the meeting were focused around the I-85 corridor. Participants included 5 mayors, 3 universities, and numerous corporations involved in infrastructure and environment issues. Water and high-speed rail serve as 2 of the issues in which the group wishes to focus collaboration efforts.
