From August 3rd - 6th, 2010, planning visionaries met in Guangzhou, China to tackle the challenge of sustainability in urban planning. The conference theme was Sustainable Planning Challenges: Rapid Urbanization, Global Recession and Climate Change.
Dr. Catherine L. Ross, director of the Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development (CQGRD) was present to lend her expertise in this area. The College of Architecture at the Georgia Institute of Technology was one of the hosting organizations.
