CorFire President Keith Smith (http://www.corfire.com/our-company/leadership.php) to address at Tech.

CorFire offers mobile technology platforms to financial institutions, mobile network operators (MNOs), payment processors, card issuers, retailers, and other technology innovators that enable delivery of mobile commerce to the mobile phone today.  Headquartered in Atlanta, CorFire is a wholly owned subsidiary of SK C&C Co., Ltd., a leading global payments technology provider and systems integration company.  SK C&C is a major stockholder of a holding company (SK Holdings) of SK Group, an $80 billion conglomerate.Shoppers around the world are expected to spend about $119 billion on goods and services purchased via mobile phones by 2015, according to ABI Research estimates.

Google will play a major role in mobile commerce adoption in the United States with the launch of its Google Wallet and Google Offers earlier this year. The services will combine coupons and discounts and payments at the time people buy things through their phone.

CorFire is one of the major players in the mobile ecosystem and is the technology platform behind the Google Wallet. CorFire’s president and COO, Keith Smith, will discuss mobile commerce and mobile payments trends, including what we’ll likely see, as consumers, in terms on mobile commerce adoption in the U.S.

He also will discuss the role of Atlanta’s technology community in the emerging mobile space. Refreshments will be provided.
