Aicha

By Yamina Benguigui - French/Algerian - 2009 - 90min

Algerian origin, Aisha lives in a city ghetto in the suburb, north of Paris, where everyone lives under the supervision of another. Eldest daughter of Bouamazza, a family regarded as a "model" in the neighborhood, Aisha decides to move to the other side of the belt highway. A chronicle that brings us to the other side of the mirror and makes us spend a day in a North African family, where young girls are trying to reconcile tradition and freedom.
