There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Planetary Society will host Georgia Tech professor Dr. Robert Braun to discuss his view of the space program and our nation's future in space.
About Robert Braun
Braun has just returned to campus following nearly two years of service in Washington, D.C., as NASA's chief technologist. Braun served as the senior executive for technology and innovation policy and programs. His efforts spanned technical, budgetary and policy aspects of NASA’s science, aeronautics and exploration missions.
Braun has more than twenty-five years experience in the fields of aerospace engineering, systems engineering and design optimization. His research has focused on systems' aspects of planetary exploration, where he contributed to the design, development, test and operation of several robotic space flight systems.
At Georgia Tech, he serves as Director of the Space Systems Design Laboratory where he leads an active research and educational program focused on the design of advanced flight systems and technologies for planetary exploration.
