Full Summary: Art Papers Live Lecture Series presents two contemporary French artists on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.

Adel Abdessemed, a Paris-based conceptual artist who was born in Algeria, will speak as part of this event. As a prominent figure on the contemporary art scene, Abdessemed evaluates social, political and cultural limits of modern societies. Through the transformation of everyday materials and images into unexpected and potent artistic declarations, incorporating video, photography, sculpture and drawing, his art explores the underlying effects of globalization on the individual and offers a reflection on human nature.
