Garver on China's Foreign Policy

“The underlying Chinese belief is that American policies are ill-considered, wrong-headed, and not wise,” said John Garver, Professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, when speaking as part of a lecture series hosted by the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies. Garver also said that China can uphold friendly relations with all Middle Eastern countries without challenging the role the United States has assumed in the volatile region.
