There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. A memorial service for W. Marshall Leach, Jr.--our much loved and respected friend, teacher, and colleague--will be held on Thursday, December 16 at 3 pm in the Marcus Nanotechnology Building, Room 1116. Dr. Leach died on Saturday, November 20 at the age of 70.
Dr. Leach was a faculty member in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech for 38 years and was a four-time recipient of the ECE Richard M. Bass/Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Teacher Award. He was a longtime advisor for the IEEE student branch, a technical advisor for WREK-FM (91.1), and a member of the Institute Radio Communication Board. The Marcus Nanotechnology Building is located at 345 Ferst Drive. Visitor parking may be found across the street from this building at the Area 4 parking lot (visitor parking for West Campus). Other visitor parking is available just north of this building in Area 5 or at the Georgia Tech Student Center.
