There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Summaries

Summary Sentence: Engaging Conversations

Full Summary: Join this brown-bag-luncheon series on the first Wednesday of each month from noon to 1:00 and find out what faculty are doing to engage Georgia Tech students in learning.

Teaching by telling often does not produce the learning we hope for.  Yet simply inviting students to participate actively in the learning process may not bring great results either.  This session will highlight what two faculty are doing to help their students develop greater ownership of the learning process as they work to achieve course objectives.

Eliminating Lecture and Implementing POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning)
