On August 31st, continue the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Matriculation of Black Students at Georgia Tech with a visit to Atlanta's own Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change. This visit is for:

 

    * Those who have completed the summer reading project selection, I Have a Dream: Writings & Speeches That Changed the World by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to learn more about the great man and his mission of social change.

    * Those who are interested in the history of the Civil Rights movement in Atlanta and the country.

    * Those who wish to pay respect to one of Atlanta's greatest sons.

Wednesday, August 31, 2011, Schedule of Activities:

2:30 p.m. - Load buses at Georgia Tech Student Center

3:00 p.m. - Arrive at Martin Luther King, Jr. Center

3:10 p.m. - Self-guided tour of center and grounds accompanied by Georgia Tech Faculty and Staff

4:50 p.m. - Meet at Buses and Load

5:00 p.m - Depart King Center for GT Campus

5:30 p.m. - Arrive at Georgia Tech Student Center
