Selections by Berlin, Gershwin, and Bacharach will be featured on the program led by Dr. Chip Crotts. The GTSO will be presenting a program of music all by American composers with a flavor of romance – Gershwin’s An American in Paris and Hanson’s “Romantic” Second Symphony. Jarrett Lafleur, PhD Aerospace Engineering, will return to campus to perform Rouse’s Flute Concerto as a winner of the GT Student Solo Competition. A highlight of the concert will involve Jazz Ensemble I and the GTSO joining forces to perform a studio orchestra arrangement of Legrand’s “You Must Believe in Spring.”
The concert is Tuesday, February 21 at 7:30 PM in the Ferst Center. Tickets are $10 to the general public and FREE with BuzzCard or StudentID.
