The Executive Leadership Institute provides faculty and staff development, targeted at emerging senior leaders within the University System.

President G. P. “Bud” Peterson has named Dr. Usha Nair-Reichart and Mr. Jim Fortner as Georgia Tech’s representatives for the University System of Georgia Board of Regents Executive Leadership Institute.

Now in its third year, the Executive Leadership Institute provides faculty and staff development, targeted at emerging senior leaders within the University System. The eight-month program is one result of a report on training and professional development commissioned by Chancellor Erroll Davis in 2006.

An associate professor and interim chair in the School of Economics, Nair-Reichart joined Georgia Tech in 1995. Fortner is director of Tech’s Grants and Contracts Accounting, part of Financial Services within the Division of Institute Planning and Resource Management.

“Georgia Tech is committed to the philosophy of lifelong learning for its faculty and staff,” Peterson said. “Professional development opportunities such as the Executive Leadership Institute help to ensure that we have the depth of talent and training necessary for continued excellence.”
