Mimi Hoang, co-founder of internationally recognized architectural firm nARCHITECTS, studied at Harvard University for a Master of Architecture and at MIT for a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. In addition to her practice, she currently teaches graduate design studios at Columbia and Yale Universities. nARCHITECTS works on a wide range of scales from buildings and interiors to public space design. The practice joins innovative concepts, social responsibility and technical precision to address contemporary issues. They achieve simple designs that produce a richness and flexibility of experience, with an economy of conceptual and material means. They aim to define new intersections between architecture, landscape, art, and technology in each project. Recent examples of nARCHITECTS' iconic architecture include Switch Building (recipient of an AIA Building Type Award) and the bamboo Canopy designed as part of the MOMA PS1 Young Architects Program and recipient of an AIA Design Honor Award and the ABC Dbayeh Department Store under construction in Beirut.

Her lecture is presented in partnership with Atlanta Contemporary Art Center.
