Clough Commons Tours Now Available

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Summary Sentence: GT Library Staff will conduct guided tours of the G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons for the public.

Full Summary: If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of Tech’s latest architectural addition, guided tours of the G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons are now being offered.

Those attending a tour will have an opportunity to learn about the unique spaces and innovative learning environments, the array of academic support resources available to students and the many sustainable aspects of the building. 

No advance sign up is needed and tours will be offered at the following times (tours begin at the Clough Commons Information Desk, which is located across from Starbucks cafe): 

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2 p.m.
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. 
  • Football game days — two and a half hours before kickoff

Special tours will also be offered after President Bud Peterson’s State of the Institute address on August 30 and during the formal building dedication on September 24.
