For the second consecutive year, the Georgia Institute of Technology has been named one of the top five universities in the world for Engineering/Technology and Computer Sciences by The Center for World-Class Universities of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.The rankings are part of the university’s 2011 Academic Ranking of World Universities by Broad Subject Fields.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Illinois round out the top five in this category.
This is the ninth consecutive year that the Academic Ranking of World Universities has measured the performance of top universities worldwide.
