There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. As part of Personalized Medicine Awareness Day in Georgia, a panel discussion involving scientists from Morehouse School of Medicine, Emory University and Georgia Tech will explore recent advances in personalized medicine and Georgia’s leadership in this innovative health care research.
The event will open with a speech from Gov. Nathan Deal, who will announce the proclamation and deliver an opening address. Following Gov. Deal’s remarks, Leroy Hood, a pioneer in biotechnology and genomics, and founder of the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, will discuss the promise of personalized medicine for improving health care.
