About the Georgia Tech Center for Geographic Information Systems

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Center for Geographic Information Systems (CGIS) is an interdisciplinary research center focused on GIS technology applications, education, and providing innovative solutions to diverse real-world problems. Administered through Georgia Tech's College of Architecture, the center delivers the next generation of geospatial technologies, applying GIS tools and technologies to a variety of research and industry problems. CGIS serves as a leader and catalyst for the advancement of GIS technology for academic institutions, private industry and the public sector.
