There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Georgia Institute of Technology has notified the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) that it will exercise its option to appeal the decision of the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions announced earlier this month.
While the specific grounds for the appeal are under consideration, Georgia Tech was required to notify the NCAA of its intent by July 28, 2011. The university will have 30 days to file a written appeal.
