There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Staff with the Enterprise Innovation Institute are helping Coweta area charities, agencies and ministries find ways to better serve needy area residents. Leaders with local outreach organizations have been interviewed online for the project. Jason Chernock of EI2 came to Newnan for a meeting sponsored by Resource Coweta at 15 Perry St. EI2 is a program affiliated with the Georgia Institute of Technology. Chernock said the program is similar in some ways to the Cooperative Extension Service started decades ago at the University of Georgia. While the extension service is focused on agricultural issues and needs, EI2 is centered "around economic development," he said. "We have regional offices all throughout Georgia," Chernock said.
