Dr. Boyan’s and colleagues’ research is notably recognized by the Nature Publishing Group in the article: “The real war on drugs”, by Cassandra Willyard. The injuries sustained by soldiers and aid workers alike in third world countries require innovative medical device solutions. CABSS, funded by the Department of Defense, is helping to provide better medical care for soldiers who encounter traumatic bone and tissue wound injuries overseas on duty by researching stem cells for the use of healing wounds.
