This month, the Office of Innovation Commercialization and Translational Research, in collaboration with VentureLab, will launch a program for innovators at Georgia Tech to streamline the licensing process.

The Georgia Tech Integrated Program for Startups (GT:IPS) was developed by the Georgia Tech Research Corporation as a way to educate faculty, staff and students about the process of forming a company while offering access to a well-vetted license.

Each month, two one-hour classes will be held at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on a specified day, with course offerings changing each month. Participants must attend four core and two elective classes, and participants may register for the program at any time here.

Those who complete the curriculum within six months will be eligible for a GT:IPS license, which will only be available to Tech faculty, staff and students.

The program will launch on July 20 at 4:30 p.m. in the Research Administration Building’s board room. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served and the July course offerings will begin at 5 p.m.

For more information, contact Lauren Maclanahan, interim director of the Office of Innovation Commercialization and Translational Research.
