Abstract: All forms of life and inanimate matter share a common element: tiny building blocks. Different configurations of either bio or engineered building blocks are used to make almost anything. We will discuss how these tiny building blocks can create high-performance materials and structures for sustainable terrestrial and extraterrestrial systems.
